Fantastic Recipes!

Lets face it, we all love food, and there are many gastric bypass recipies to enjoy, there are still delicious things we can eat that will still fit within the bounds of what we should eat. Here are a few gastric bypass recipes that I have been sent, as well as some that friends have told me about.

Egg Nog
1 cup evaporated skim milk
1 carton egg substitute, liquid
1 pinch nutmeg or cinnamon
2-3 packets sugar substitute (most like 3)
1 tsp vanilla

Put all of it in a blender and blend it till its all smooth.

Sugar Free Peanut Butter Cookies
1 egg
1 cup splenda
1 cup low fat PB

Mix it all up and put it in the oven at 350, I do them at 9 minutes.

And this is one that was given to me by my friend Doug, he got it on a messageboard on the net:

Black Bean Salsa

1 can (16 oz.) black beans

1 can (12 oz.) shoepeg (white) corn

1/4 Cup cilantro

1/2 Cup chopped green pepper

1 medium purple onion

chopped 3-4 medium tomatoes

chopped 1 jalapeno pepper

1 Tin canola oil Juice, with lime.

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. garlic powder

Directions:

Drain and rinse the black beans and shoepeg corn and put it in a big bowl. Add the cilantro, green pepper, purple onion, tomatoes and jalapeno pepper. Blend it all up. spritz the canola oil and lime juice over the top. Add the salt and garlic powder. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Serve itwith baked tortilla chips.
